Staff Attorney for San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program
Before starting her own practice, Bhashini was a staff attorney at San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program (SDVLP). During her tenure with SDVLP, she was responsible for providing legal assistance to terminally ill clients with a wide variety of civil legal matters such as debt relief, landlord tenant, estate planning, and administrative appeals for government benefits. Bhashini oversaw a caseload of over 150 active on-going cases at any given time, and provided services throughout San Diego County through monthly and weekly legal clinics. She coordinated a team of volunteer attorneys and law students to produce high quality free legal services to some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged populations in San Diego.

Bhashini handled political asylum cases for indigent clients, where she made multiple appearances before the United States Immigration Court.
During law school and prior to entering law school, Bhashini had participated in a variety of different internships, including but not limited to, the District Attorney’s office and Massachusetts Appellate Tax board (a quasi-judicial adjudicative body).
